Essential Oils - Safety and Other Recommendations
Why is it recommended for me to dilute the essential oils?
A: Essential oils are highly concentrated and need to be diluted for topical use, otherwise they may irritate when applied directly to the skin. It is recommended to dilute them down to 1-2 percent (100 drops of carrier oil for every 1 drop of essential oil) before topical application.
How do I clean the essential oil dropper?
A: Take the dropper apart, soak it in warm soapy water several times, then remove any residue with clean water. Let it dry properly before using.
How long do essential oils last?
A: Most will last at least 2 years (after opening) before they start to degrade. Many experts advise replacing essential oils every 3 years.
How should I store my essential oils?
A: The best is to store them in their original package (dark glass) away from light and heat.
